Job Description:

We are looking for committed and skilled Qualified Social Workers to join our Adults Safeguarding and Assessment teams, where you will play a key role in supporting adults at times of change, crisis, and risk.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake Care Act assessments
  • Identify risks and work with adults, carers, and partner agencies to promote independence, wellbeing, and safety
  • Lead and contribute to statutory safeguarding enquiries
  • Apply proportionate, timely, and person centred interventions to protect adults at risk of abuse or neglect
  • Complete assessments, develop support plans, review packages of care
  • Make informed professional judgements under relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding procedures

Requirements:

  • Qualified and registered Social Worker (Social Work England)
  • Experience or interest in adult safeguarding and assessment work
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation
  • Ability to apply legislation confidently in practice
  • Resilient, organised, and able to work calmly under pressure
  • Sound judgement and professional curiosity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to strengths-based, person-centred, and anti-discriminatory practice
