Job Description:

Social work is at the centre of our palliative care and we are looking for an experienced social worker to join our multi-disciplinary, professional and compassionate team. At Severn Hospice you have time to care and working in a highly rewarding and supportive environment you will support individuals and families facing life-limiting illness, loss and grief. As an integral member of the hospice team, and working across inpatient, day service and community settings, you’ll use your expertise and specialist knowledge to respond to psychological and social needs, encourage well-being and resilience, provide practical support, information, advice and signpost to other recommended services and partner organisations. With your excellent organisational skills, collaborative and flexible working approach, you will also effectively manage assessments, referrals, case work and individual, family and group sessions. If you’re an empathetic, supportive and collaborative problem-solver with great communication and counselling skills we’d love you to get in touch.
