Job Description:

Buckinghamshire Council currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced qualified Social Worker to take the next step in their professional career with a well-established local authority. The role will involve joining a busy, fast paced MASH team whose paramount objective is always a child's well being and safety.

Job Responsibility:

  • Respond to queries and referrals from a number of different sources
  • Make contact with families and partner agencies
  • Work closely with the Locality Teams in ensuring children and families are effectively transferred with appropriate risk assessments, priority status and initial recommendations
  • Provide day to day support and coaching to Contact and Referral Officers

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker (DipSW or equivalent)
  • At least two years post qualifying experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Nice to have:

Experience of working within a MASH/Referral/Assessment environment
