MSW: Master’s degree in Social Work and membership in the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
MHC-M: Master’s degree in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology or a related health or Social Science field
Current registration in good standing with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
Both: Minimum 5 years recent experience working with individuals with significant mental health needs
Knowledge and appreciation of Recovery Principles
Excellent assessment and treatment skills utilizing modalities of individual and group therapies
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and familiarity with DSM-V
Training and experience in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing
Training and experience in Brief Solution-Focused Therapy
Training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Job Responsibility

Provide trauma therapy for those receiving services at the new Wellness and Recovery centre
Function independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team and work cooperatively with multiple service providers
Provide high quality assessment and Trauma therapy using a variety of individual and group trauma therapy techniques
Participate in the education of staff, students and the larger community
May be assigned to another program as needed
