Reporting to the Manager of the Wellness and Recovery Centre, the MSW/MHC-M will provide trauma therapy for those receiving services at the new Wellness and Recovery centre. The MSW/MHC must be able to function independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team and work cooperatively with multiple service providers. The successful candidate, following Recovery Principles will provide high quality assessment and Trauma therapy using a variety of individual and group trauma therapy techniques. They will also participate in the education of staff, students and the larger community. This position is initially targeted to work in our New Wellness and Recovery Centre with the understanding that the MSW/MHC is a member of Outpatient Mental Health Services and as such may be assigned to another program as needed.
Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
MSW: Master’s degree in Social Work and membership in the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
MHC-M: Master’s degree in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology or a related health or Social Science field
Current registration in good standing with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
Minimum 5 years recent experience working with individuals with significant mental health needs
Knowledge and appreciation of Recovery Principles
Excellent assessment and treatment skills utilizing modalities of individual and group therapies
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and familiarity with DSM-V
Training and experience in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing
Training and experience in Brief Solution-Focused Therapy
Training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Training and experience in Single Session Therapy
Training and experience in Group therapy
Training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Access to reliable transportation – travel throughout Grey and Bruce Counties is required
Analytical and organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle and respect confidential information with tact and diplomacy are essential
Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting
C.P.I. training up to date
C.P.R. – basic certification
Able to work all shifts, 24/7, including weekends, and ability for multi-site coverage if required
Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
