Job Description:

The UCC associate director for clinical services oversees the development and provision of clinical services within UCC, provides clinical care to students, provides supervision and training to UCC professionals in training, and provides outreach and consultation to the university community.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides direct individual, couples and group mental health care services to UR students using various short term psychotherapy treatment approaches
  • Provides intake assessments, clinical triage, and mental health crisis management services for students
  • Provides clinical supervision of professionals in training from psychology, social work and counseling backgrounds
  • Oversees quality improvement and quality assurance activities including peer review and client satisfaction reports
  • Provides leadership for the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures for clinical service delivery
  • Completes timely documentation of care in the electronic medical record

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or doctorate degree in clinical/counseling psychology
  • NYS certification and licensure, or other equivalent education, certification and licensure
  • Five years of full-time clinical experience
  • At least one year working in a clinical administrative role
  • Experience working with an ethnically diverse college-age population
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with expertise in a team setting
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to develop and maintain clear record-keeping systems
  • Skills in collecting and analyzing clinical data to inform recommendations for practice management
  • Ability to work evenings and to provide after hours on-call availability
