Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Locum Qualified Social Worker to join the Learning Disability Social Work Team in Kirklees. This is a well-established and highly supportive team made up of experienced Social Workers and Community Assessment Support Officers, delivering high-quality statutory social work services to adults of all ages with a learning disability. The team is committed to collaborative, strengths-based practice, ensuring individuals receive the right support, at the right time, from the right services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver statutory social work interventions for adults with learning disabilities
  • Undertake assessments, care planning, and reviews
  • Promote strengths-based and person-centred practice
  • Support individuals to maximise independence and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with Health colleagues and partner agencies
  • Advocate for individuals' rights, choice, and voice
  • Contribute to safeguarding and risk management processes

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Experience within Adult Social Care or Learning Disability Services
  • Strong understanding of strengths-based practice
  • Good assessment and communication skills
