Job Responsibility
Conducting comprehensive assessments of prisoners' needs, including risk of re-offending and welfare concerns
Developing and implementing care plans that support personal growth and rehabilitation
Providing one-to-one counseling and group therapy sessions
Collaborating with other prison staff, including psychologists, prison officers, and chaplains, to ensure a holistic approach to rehabilitation
Preparing reports and assessments for parole boards and other agencies
Requirements
A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW)
Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Social Worker
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
