Job Description:

An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for dedicated and motivated Social Workers to join the Families First Service in Trafford. Families First is responsible for delivering all assessment and duty functions, alongside supporting children and families through the Child in Need (CIN) process. The service operates across four well-established locality teams: North, West, South, and Central, providing strong team support and collaborative working environments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Caseloads are limited to approximately 20 children
  • Undertake assessments and duty responsibilities
  • Manage Child in Need (CIN) cases
  • Work directly with children and families to achieve positive outcomes
  • Contribute to safeguarding and risk management processes
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
  • Deliver strengths-based and child-centred interventions

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Experience within Children's Services / Assessment / CIN
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
