Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified and motivated Locum Social Worker to join a dedicated service based in Burnley, Lancashire. We are seeking a flexible and reliable practitioner who can contribute effectively within a busy and responsive working environment. This role requires regular office presence and the ability to adapt to changing service demands.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake assessments and prepare high-quality reports
  • Complete out-of-court reports and pre-sentence reports
  • Contribute effectively to court processes and proceedings
  • Deliver clear, analytical, and evidence-based assessments
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records

Requirements:

  • Recognised Diploma / Degree in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Criminal Justice experience
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage competing demands
  • Strong assessment and report writing skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
