Job Description:

Randstad is partnering with Swansea Council to recruit a Social Worker for the Children's Access Point (CAP) Assessment Team, working at the front door of children's services to complete timely assessments and safeguard children.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake statutory assessments of children and families following referrals into Children's Services
  • Analyse risk and need to inform decision-making and next steps
  • Complete visits, assessments, and reports within statutory timescales
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to promote positive outcomes
  • Manage a caseload effectively within a hybrid working model

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience within children's services, ideally in assessment or safeguarding roles
  • Registered with Social Care Wales
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • A current and valid DBS check
