Job Description

Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and families? Join the Children and Families Team in Dunoon, Argyll & Bute, where you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and promoting their well-being.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage a caseload of children and families, conducting assessments and developing care plans
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Undertake statutory duties under the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 and other relevant legislation
  • Provide support to children and families experiencing complex challenges
  • Participate in child protection case conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant meetings.

Requirements

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW)
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Nice to have

JII (Joint Investigative Interview) or SCIM (Scottish Child Interview Model) training to undertake child protection interviews.
