Job Description:

Are you an experienced Adult Safeguarding Social Worker looking for a fast-paced role where your expertise makes a real difference every day? Bristol City Council is looking for a confident and resilient Social Worker to join its Safeguarding Adults Team on an agency basis. This is a busy, city-wide service where you’ll play a key role in responding to safeguarding concerns and protecting vulnerable adults. If you thrive in dynamic environments, can confidently manage complex cases, and enjoy multi-agency collaboration, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing Adult Safeguarding concerns from initial triage through to enquiry and decision-making
  • Coordinating safeguarding responses and leading multi-agency discussions and meetings
  • Working closely with health services, police, housing and community partners
  • Producing clear, high-quality case recordings and professional rationales
  • Supporting adults to understand risks, express their wishes and achieve their desired outcomes
  • Working in a hybrid model – a mix of City Hall, home working and occasional community visits

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker (registered with Social Work England)
  • Strong Adult Safeguarding experience – able to hit the ground running
  • Confident applying safeguarding legislation, thresholds and best practice
  • Ability to manage a busy and fast-moving caseload
  • Strong communication and partnership working skills
  • Based in or near Bristol with the ability to attend City Hall when required
