Job Description

Middlesbrough Borough Council is seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our Adults Safeguarding Team. This is a critical role dedicated to supporting adults at risk, ensuring their voices are heard, and promoting their right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead Section 42 enquiries and manage complex safeguarding cases
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective safety plans
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health services and the police
  • Provide professional advocacy for adults with care and support needs, ensuring their outcomes are met

Requirements

  • A recognized Social Work qualification and current professional registration
  • Previous experience within an Adult Safeguarding or statutory Adults' team
  • The ability to commute to Middlesbrough on a regular basis
  • A commitment to working at least 2 days per week from our Middlesbrough office
