Working on behalf of Haringey Council, We are seeking a committed Social Work Officer to join their Adults Social Care service, supporting residents and carers through assessment, review, and support planning. You will work within a strengths-based model, helping people build resilience, maximise independence, and improve their quality of life. About the Role You will manage a non-complex caseload and work closely with social workers and partner agencies to deliver effective, outcome-focused support. This is a varied, community-facing role combining assessment, coordination, practical support, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
Job Responsibility:
Completing strengths-based assessments, reviews, and support plans
Supporting adults and carers to maximise independence and wellbeing
Arranging short-term support and respite services
Providing advice and guidance on welfare benefits and living aids
Reviewing care packages and monitoring outcomes
Working closely with health and social care partners
Contributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings
Attending safeguarding strategy meetings where required
Maintaining accurate case notes, records, and reports
Supporting social workers with information gathering and case preparation
Completing Continuing Healthcare (CHC) checklists where appropriate
Requirements:
Experience or exposure in Adult Social Care (paid, voluntary, or lived experience)
Understanding of strengths-based and person-centred practice
