Job Description

An established organisation within the housing and construction sector is seeking an experienced Social Value Coordinator to support the delivery of social value commitments across a key regional partnership programme. This is a full time onsite position in Cardiff with daily parking available at the company. Reporting to the Social Value Manager, this role will focus on maximising community impact through the coordination of employment, training, and community engagement initiatives. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure social value objectives are effectively delivered and reported.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate community engagement activities from pre-construction through to project completion
  • Act as a primary point of contact for residents and local stakeholders
  • Support delivery of local employment, training, and skills initiatives
  • Monitor, track, and report social value outcomes on a regular basis
  • Assist with bid submissions and community information events
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, charities, and local organisations
  • Organise and attend community meetings, site visits, and engagement events
  • Support the development of community strategies and communications
  • Promote and implement recognised industry standards and frameworks

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a social value, CSR, or community engagement role, ideally within construction or the built environment
  • Understanding of social value delivery and community-based programmes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Flexible approach with willingness to travel as required
