The Strategy, Data & Social team at 1000heads answers critical questions that begin with WHY, are validated by WHAT the data tells us, and are delivered through HOW brands show up on social. The role works closely with the Social Strategy Director and Senior Strategist to deliver social first, insight led thinking. The role spans strategy and insights, shaping the why behind our work and translating research, data, and platform understanding into clear strategies, frameworks, and content direction across campaigns and always-on social activity. This role offers the opportunity to work on social first strategy and insight led projects for leading global brands, including Google, Cisco, GitLab, SAP, Isuzu, UNIQLO, Meltwater, and Live Nation, in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
Job Responsibility:
Craft comprehensive social first strategies for clients
Support the creation of social frameworks, content pillars, and rollout plans for client campaigns
Conduct research and analysis to inform strategy development, including competitive audits, category research, and cultural trend mapping
Data visualisation that goes beyond basic excel functionality
Intricate knowledge of social and digital platform analytics
Experience with social listening platforms
Apply platform-specific knowledge to maximise potential for reaching and engaging target audiences
A demonstrable ability to look beyond the numbers towards interpretation, recommendation and action to provide sound insights
Interpret performance data to evaluate content and campaign effectiveness
Provide strategic recommendations for optimising ongoing campaigns and content strategies
A dab-hand at creating and implementing reporting templates in Excel and Google Slides
Develop clear, compelling strategic narratives that inspire both internal teams and clients
Write and deliver inspiring creative briefs that lead to innovative social-first ideas
Work closely with creative teams to ensure strategic alignment in campaign and always-on content development
Participate in strategic planning sessions with various teams (e.g., account management, creative, data)
Ensure strategic alignment across all aspects of client work
Support knowledge sharing and skill development within the strategy team
Requirements:
3-5 years experience in social media strategy or planning roles
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
Deep understanding of major social media platforms and their strategic applications
Experience in developing social content strategies and campaign frameworks backed by audience and platform data
Ability to interpret and apply data insights
Adaptability to work across various industries and client types
Knowledge of audience analysis platforms like Global Web Index, and an awareness of the wealth of data sources available to you
Methodology development for both primary research and performance measurement
An eye for detail, the ability spot flaws or mistakes in methods, reports and plans
