As the Social Media Marketing Intern, you will support the Digital Marketing Manager in creating and curating compelling social media content to tell our brand story end-to-end, driving brand awareness, engaging our audience, and supporting marketing initiatives with the purpose of educating and entertaining.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to develop engaging and visually appealing social media content that aligns with our voice, values, and marketing objectives
Learn to utilize in-platform data and an iterative approach to create performance-driven content
Suggest original copy, captions, and headlines that align with our voice
Use graphic design tools and photo and video editing software to produce high-quality content
Obsessed with beauty and skincare trends to ensure Tower 28 content is relevant and resonates with existing and new audiences
Ensure all content follows brand guidelines and maintains a consistent aesthetic
Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop a content calendar and schedule posts in advance, ensuring consistency and timeliness
Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and mentions to engage our audience and foster a sense of community
Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop and execute strategies for user-generated content campaigns, contests, and giveaways
Identify opportunities for engagement and proactively engage with brand and creator accounts to build relationships and brand loyalty across all social media channels.
Requirements:
Current undergraduate studying marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
Demonstrated experience in creating social media content, preferably in the beauty or skincare industry
Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar, and ability to adapt to different brand tones
Familiarity with social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices
Strong understanding of beauty and skincare trends, creators, and consumer preferences
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A positive + motivated individual that gets energy from a fast-paced startup environment
Open to wearing many hats to learn + grow within the organization (a ‘no task is too small’ spirit!)
A highly detail-oriented taskmaster who loves a good checklist + challenge
Love to collaborate with others and have strong interpersonal skills
Passion for clean beauty, inclusivity, and sustainable practices
Strong content storytelling, creation, and copywriting skills
Must be based in Los Angeles, CA and open to being hybrid (we’re 3 days a week in office for now!)
Internship dates may be flexible but candidate should be available for a minimum of 8 weeks between the end of May and August
