Cella by Randstad Digital is seeking a highly motivated Social Media Specialist to join our Telecom client's team. In this role, you will act as the digital voice of a leading Canadian brand across various platforms, creating and sharing content to delight customers and help them get the most out of our products and services. The role goes far beyond traditional brand and marketing, extending into functions across the company including media relations, customer service, and key corporate social responsibility initiatives. This team operates as an “entrepreneurial” group within the larger organization and is encouraged to test new ideas to shape a strategy that will enhance the brand, excite customers, and improve business performance. The Social Media Specialist will work alongside the social media team to implement our social strategy, managing engagement and interactivity with the audience, and fostering community spirit. You will coordinate primarily with the Sponsorship and Brand teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating strong growth and engagement amongst our online communities. Additionally, this role will provide support to other core Business Units such as Mobility and Residential Services.
Job Responsibility
Manage and grow social media communities across priority platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging channels
Develop, write, and produce platform-native content (posts, short-form video, event photography, and social copy) aligned to brand voice and business priorities
Publish and distribute content strategically across social channels ensuring optimal timing format and platform best practices
Leverage partner relationships to extend impact of content working alongside Sponsorship and Media teams to maximize reach engagement and campaign performance
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across organization to support campaigns product launches corporate initiatives and customer support needs
Support real-time and reactive content opportunities ensuring brand remains culturally relevant and responsive
Uphold brand standards and governance ensuring all social activity reflects corporate values tone and accessibility requirements
Monitor performance and community health tracking KPIs related to reach engagement growth and sentiment
Analyze and report on social performance providing actionable insights and recommendations
Leverage social listening and community monitoring to surface trends risks and opportunities
Collaborate on paid social amplification including boosting high-performing organic content to maximize reach and campaign ROI
Requirements
3+ years of experience in social media management
University or College degree in Marketing, Communications, Business and/or relevant equivalent job experience
Excellent writing and text revision skills (French and English)
Strong translation skills (English to French)
Experience planning and executing paid social campaigns
Strong analytical skills
Highly familiar with various social channels and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn)
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple format
Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure
Fantastic relationship-building skills
High receptiveness to feedback
Flexible and adaptable
Willingness to support social events on evenings/weekends
Fully bilingual (French/English) highly preferred
Comfortable working in virtual team environment
Experience with Hootsuite, Meltwater or similar social media management and listening systems
