We are looking for a talented Social Media Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will create and execute compelling organic social media strategies, helping to amplify our mission and engage diverse audiences. This is a contract position based in Norwalk, Connecticut, with the potential for transition to a long-term role after six months.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement organic social media strategies to maximize audience engagement and brand visibility
Create innovative, platform-specific content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and X (formerly Twitter)
Monitor social media channels to engage with followers in real-time, manage communities, and address reputation risks
Analyze campaign performance data to inform strategy and provide actionable insights through detailed reporting
Collaborate with communications, PR, and creative teams to ensure content aligns with the organization's voice and goals
Lead influencer marketing initiatives and event-based social media campaigns to amplify reach
Stay informed on industry trends and incorporate them into dynamic content strategies
Manage content calendars and oversee the use of tools like Meta Business Suite, Canva, and Sprout Social
Provide mentorship to team members and foster cross-functional collaboration with paid media managers
Requirements:
Proven experience in developing and managing successful organic social media campaigns
Proficiency in using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Canva, and TikTok Creator Tools
Strong skills in analytics and reporting, with the ability to draw insights from platforms like Google Analytics and LinkedIn Analytics
Expertise in content creation tailored to various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and X
Solid understanding of community management and handling reputation risks or crisis situations
Background in influencer marketing and event-based campaigns
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across teams
