I’m partnering with a premium, retail brand operating a direct-to-consumer (DTC) first model, to hire a Social Media Manager as part of their growing in-house marketing team. The Role My client is looking for a creative, proactive Social Media Manager who truly lives and breathes social. This is a hands-on role for someone confident both behind and in front of the camera, with the ability to turn trends, insights, and ideas into premium, high-performing content. You’ll work closely with senior marketing leadership, the founder, and in-house creative teams, owning day-to-day channel management while contributing to long-term social strategy. You’ll also manage and mentor a Social Media Executive, helping to elevate creative standards and performance across all platforms. This role is ideal for someone with experience in premium retail or DTC brands, or a relevant agency background working with fashion, lifestyle, or beauty clients.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver premium, DTC-focused social storytelling
Own weekly and monthly social content calendars across UK and international markets
Lead social campaigns from concept through to execution, supporting key product and seasonal moments
Align with brand, PR, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive, high-impact storytelling
Concept, create, and edit social-first content across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms
Translate trends and cultural moments into polished, on-brand content that resonates with a premium audience
Write engaging, brand-aligned copy across captions, campaigns, and reactive content
Lead social shot lists and collaborate with in-house production and studio teams
Curate UGC, creator, and community content to strengthen authenticity and social proof
Manage daily publishing, scheduling, and community engagement across all social channels
Ensure content reflects premium brand values, tone of voice, and customer expectations
Confidently represent the brand in live formats and real-time social moments
Lead the strategic ideation of creator and influencer partnerships aligned to a DTC model
Collaborate with paid media teams to ensure organic and paid social work seamlessly together
Support ambassador and partnership campaigns across all relevant platforms
Track engagement, growth, and conversion metrics
Deliver clear, insight-led reporting with recommendations to optimise performance
Use data, social listening, and platform insights to inform creative and strategic decisions
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Social Media Manager within a premium retail, DTC brand or relevant agency background
Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok culture, trends, algorithms, and creator ecosystems
Strong hands-on content creation and editing skills (e.g. CapCut, Adobe, or similar tools)
Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
Data-led, commercially aware, with a strong understanding of social’s role in driving DTC growth
