This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in the marketing field within the architecture and design industry. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in design, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong understanding of social media and digital marketing tools and a curiosity for consumer-related industries including restaurants, retail, hospitality and workplace. As Social Media Intern at Shea, you’ll assist in growing our online presence through the development and execution of creative social media posts, campaigns and interactions. This role provides an exciting opportunity to interact with every project that Shea touches while obtaining hands-on, marketing experience in a professional and creative environment.
Job Responsibility:
Grow our social media presence through the planning, creation and scheduling of posts across Shea and SheaMakes platforms
Develop and execute fresh content ideas that highlight Shea projects, the Shea team and/or industry relevant thought-leadership
Create and edit engaging content including short-form videos, graphics and curated photo selections
Interact with Shea clients, partners and followers online, and share relevant posts internally with project teams
Monitor and report on content performance and make recommendations for improvements
Conduct market research and analyze industry trends in our core business segments
Proof-read outgoing written copy maintaining a high-level of attention to detail and ensuring a consistent brand voice across materials
Support additional marketing efforts as needed
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with social media platforms and digital marketing tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Nice to have:
Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
Passion for architecture and interior design is a bonus
