Job Description:

Your job is to engineer the perfect blend of snark, insight, and relatability. You craft comments so sharp they could cut through the sarcasm and post memes so golden they’d make you stand out. You’d monitor trends like a stockbroker, knowing exactly when to strike with a perfectly timed reply. When drama flares up, you’re there, diplomatically sprinkling wisdom (and a subtle burn, if necessary). It’s not just about upvotes—it’s about curating a legacy of wit and wisdom in the chaotic forum jungle. People might think upvotes are just a number, but to you, it’s a mission.

Job Responsibility:

  • Actively participate in discussions, upvote quality content, and respond to comments to keep conversations flowing and maintain a positive presence
  • Stay on top of viral content and trending topics to ensure posts are relevant and timely, jumping in on discussions when it’s most effective
  • Address any negative comments, downvotes, or missteps diplomatically while maintaining a calm and respectful tone to protect your reputation

Requirements:

  • A knack for crafting witty comments and relatable posts that align with the given forum's diverse subculture vibes
  • Ability to create high-quality memes, engaging posts, and compelling comment threads
  • Genuine interest in the evolving world of memes, online conversations, and digital trends
  • Previous forum moderation experience
What we offer:
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental and vision for employees
  • Annual review with raise option
  • 22 days Paid Time Off accrued annually, and 4 holidays
  • After 3 years, PTO increases to 29 days. Employees transition to flexible time off after 5 years with the company—not accrued, not capped, take time off when you want
  • The 4 holidays are: New Year’s Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Up to 6% company matching 401(k) with no vesting period
  • Quarterly allowance
  • Use to make your remote work set up more comfortable, for continuing education classes, a plant for your desk, coffee for your coworker, a massage for yourself... really, whatever
  • Open concept office with friendly coworkers
  • Creative environment where you can make a difference
  • No dumb benefits like free dog walking on the weekends that snobby hipster places have to make you feel cool, but mathematically won't cost the company much money because you won't use it
  • Trail Mix Bar
