We are looking for a Social Media Account Manager to joing an integrated marketing and advertising agency in Long Beach, CA - will shape and manage social media programs. This position blends strategy, content leadership, performance analysis, and client-focused planning to build strong digital presence across major platforms. Job Responsibility
Build and direct multi-channel social media strategies for a portfolio of clients, ensuring each plan supports broader marketing and brand objectives
Prepare monthly social plans that outline campaign priorities, content direction, and engagement goals for individual accounts
Organize and maintain editorial calendars for both client and agency channels, keeping messaging timely, consistent, and aligned with campaign needs
Guide the development of organic social content, partnering with creative teams to deliver posts that reflect each brand accurately and connect with target audiences
Oversee day-to-day community engagement for priority accounts, providing senior-level support on audience interaction, brand voice, and response quality
Refresh social ad creative and messaging by using platform insights, performance trends, and market research to improve results
Monitor account performance and adjust channel tactics to expand reach, strengthen engagement, and improve overall effectiveness
Evaluate social metrics, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and recommend new approaches
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, copy, video, account, and digital specialists, while supporting and mentoring entry-level social media team members
Requirements
Proven experience managing social media programs, campaigns, and content across multiple platforms for several client accounts
Strong knowledge of social media strategy, content planning, and audience engagement best practices
Ability to interpret performance data and use insights to refine content, campaigns, and account direction
Hands-on familiarity with social media management and analytics tools
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different brands and audiences
Experience coordinating with internal stakeholders and creative partners in a collaborative marketing setting
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, calendars, and competing priorities effectively
