Job Description:

At Veygo our world is learner and temporary pay-as-you-go car insurance. We know people's lifestyles are changing and our pay-as-you-go insurance provides our customers with flexible cover by the hour, day or week, so they can get cover when they need it, and not when they don’t. We're proud to have over 1 million customers and to be backed by Admiral Group, voted Best UK Car Insurance Provider six years in a row by The Personal Finance Awards. If you live on social, spot trends before they peak, and know how to turn an idea into a video people actually finish watching, this role is for you. This is about creating bold, personality‑led content that feels native to social and genuinely connects with a Gen Z audience. You’ll be in front of the camera, shaping short‑form videos that are timely, relatable and visually strong, content that reflects the humour, behaviours and tone people expect from their feeds. What you create will shape how the brand shows up day to day and play a real role in its growth. We’re looking for a confident, on‑camera Content Creator to help build a culturally fluent, social‑first brand presence. You’ll bring ideas to life in a way that feels honest, current and in tune with how our audience consumes and engages with content. Your focus is purely on ideation and creation, with publishing, performance and community handled by others.

Job Responsibility:

  • Social-first content creation
  • Create native short-form video and visual content for TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube, including paid social
  • Make content that feels unmistakably platform-first: timely, natural and never polished for the sake of it
  • Create entertaining, relatable, personality-led content that social-native audiences genuinely want to watch
  • Balance planned brand storytelling with reactive, trend-led and moment-driven content
  • Creative ideation & execution
  • Generate strong social ideas that align with brand tone, but aren’t afraid to push creatively
  • Take ideas from concept to camera to edit, owning the full creative process
  • Experiment with hooks, pacing, formats and POV storytelling to stop the scroll fast
  • Continuously feed fresh ideas into an always-on content pipeline
  • Visual craft & storytelling
  • Apply strong editing, visual and motion principles to short-form video
  • Tell clear, engaging stories that hook viewers in the first few seconds
  • Blend lo-fi authenticity with polished creative when it counts
  • Build a look and feel that’s recognisable, consistent and true to the brand
  • Culture, trends & creative development
  • Stay plugged into social culture: trends, sounds, formats, memes and creators
  • Understand why trends work, and when they’re already done
  • Spot culturally relevant moments where the brand can show up naturally
  • Bring inspiration, references and new thinking into the wider team
  • Speed, tools & experimentation
  • Create content quickly in a fast-moving, social-led environment
  • Use mobile-first, lightweight production approaches to stay reactive
  • Explore new tools (including AI) to support ideation, iteration and editing
  • Keep building your creative skills, platform instincts and social craft

Requirements:

  • Natural understanding of Gen Z culture, trends and internet behaviour
  • Proven experience creating social-first content, particularly short-form video
  • Strong understanding of platforms such as TikTok and Instagram from a creator perspective
  • Confidence filming and editing content (mobile-first is welcome)
  • On-camera confidence
  • Strong creative instincts and visual storytelling ability
  • Ability to work quickly, experiment and iterate in a fast-moving environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience creating content for a brand (in-house, agency or freelance)
  • Design, motion or editing skills beyond basic social video
  • Experience using AI tools to support ideation, editing or creative exploration
What we offer:
  • Everyone receives 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) when they join us, increasing the longer you stay with us, up to a maximum of 38 days (including bank holidays)
  • You also have the option to buy or sell up to an additional five days of annual leave
  • Financial & Mortgage Advice
  • 24-Hour Ecare
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Annual Holiday Allowance
  • Flexible Working
  • Simply Health
  • Private Health Cover
  • Critical Illness Cover
  • Share in Our Future with all colleagues eligible for up to £3,600 of free shares each year after one year of service
