Social Events Coordinator role at Merlewood care home, part of Elizabeth Finn Homes. The role involves enhancing residents' quality of life by organising activities, fostering social interactions, and bringing the outside community to life within the home.
Job Responsibility:
Encourage and motivate colleagues to interact with residents
Meet individual residents to establish their interests and consider how these can be supported
Ensure residents feel they matter, are understood, listened to and able to make their own decisions
Support the organisation of a variety of external activities or visits to places of interest
Facilitate residents forming their own social groups and special interest groups
Promote independence and enhance the quality of life for all residents by assessing individual interests and encouraging these
Motivate colleagues to engage with residents on a social level to support a fulfilled life experience for the individual
Requirements:
Prior experience is desirable but not needed
Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided)
Successful enhanced DBS check with barred lists check
