Job Description:

TTM Healthcare Solutions (TTM) have partnered with a leading organisation to recruit a Social Care Worker for a mainstream residential service in Tuam. Location: Tuam, Co. Galway. Service Details: 4-bed mainstream residential service. Supporting young people aged 13–17 years. Hours: 12-hour day shifts. Rotational rota (including weekends and public holidays).

Job Responsibility:

  • Support young people in a residential setting, promoting safety, wellbeing, and development
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with service users
  • Provide emotional support during periods of distress or transition
  • Assist with daily routines and life skills development
  • Promote independence while ensuring a structured, nurturing environment
  • Work collaboratively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external professionals
  • Contribute to individual care plans and behavioural support strategies
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 7 or Level 8 degree in Social Care (or equivalent)
  • CORU registration (or eligibility to register)
  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 rota
