Galway Service Overview: Dual occupancy residential service Supporting 2 young people aged 10–17 years Focused on providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment Working Hours: 12-hour day shifts Set on a rotational roster, including weekends and public holidays
Job Responsibility:
Provide consistent care and support to young people in a residential setting
Encourage positive behaviour, personal growth, and independence
Build meaningful relationships that promote trust and emotional wellbeing
Support daily routines, education, and development of life skills
Work collaboratively with families, social workers, and external agencies
Assist in implementing care plans and behavioural management strategies
Ensure the environment remains safe, structured, and supportive
Accurately document daily activities, progress, and any incidents
Requirements:
Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care (or equivalent)
CORU registration or eligibility to register
Previous experience working with children or young people is an advantage
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern
EU Passport holder or valid GNIB permission (Stamp 1G, 2, 4, 4D, 5, or EUFam)
Must be open to Garda Vetting
International Police Clearance required where applicable
