Job Description:

TTM Healthcare Solutions are currently seeking motivated and compassionate individuals to join a respite care service in Bunratty, supporting young people in need of short-term residential care. Respite service supporting young people aged 10–17, designed for those living at home or in foster care, requiring additional support, focused on early intervention to reduce the risk of full-time residential placement, accommodates up to 4 young people per night in a structured, supportive setting. Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts (day and/or night depending on rota), rotational pattern including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide a safe, welcoming environment for young people during respite stays
  • Support emotional wellbeing and help manage challenging behaviours positively
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and social development
  • Assist with daily routines, including meals, activities, and bedtime preparation
  • Work alongside families and professionals to ensure consistent support
  • Contribute to care planning and review processes
  • Maintain clear, accurate records of each young person's stay

Requirements:

  • Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care or related discipline
  • CORU registration (or in the process of registering)
  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable groups is preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts across a 24/7 rota
  • Legal permission to work in Ireland (EU passport or valid GNIB stamp)
  • Willing to complete Garda Vetting
  • Provide International Police Clearance where required

Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable groups is preferred
