Job Description

Are you looking for guaranteed hours, excellent pay, and the opportunity to work in some of Scotland's most beautiful locations? We are recruiting for both Care Home and Community Care at Home Support Workers across the Scottish Islands. Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, provided they are happy to travel for the placement!

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting older adults directly within a residential care home setting
  • Supporting adults within their own homes, completing multiple visits per day

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of care experience supporting older adults
  • Must be able to provide personal care, administer medication, and utilise safe moving and handling techniques
  • Must be comfortable and capable of lone working
  • Previous experience in island or remote placements is highly beneficial
  • Female staff are currently preferred due to specific personal care requirements, however, male staff can sometimes be utilized

Nice to have

  • A driving licence is not required, but it is highly preferential due to the distance from accommodation to the services
  • Previous care home experience is preferred
  • Previous care at home experience is preferred
