Job Description:

Communicare is looking for an empathetic, patient and dependable Social Care Support Worker who has a genuine passion for helping people and a commitment to providing high-quality care. We provide individualised and person-centred residential disability & mental health services. The goal of our respite team is to maximise the independence of our clients while supporting their physical, emotional and social needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support our clients in daily tasks such as personal care, light housekeeping, food preparation
  • Provide companionship and support with social activities
  • Work to promote the health and well-being of clients

Requirements:

  • FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Social Care or Healthcare
  • Two written references
  • Understanding of HIQA standards and regulations
  • CPR & Patient Moving and Handling Certificates
  • Experience working with people within the disabilities or mental health services
  • Full driving license and access to a car is a distinct advantage
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland at the time of applying
