Our Asia Base operations gives Engineer exposure to multiple AMD product development, design and manufacturing operations team, and will give this engineer the ability to have a major impact in product development and enablement, yield improvement and drive revenue for years to come. Job Responsibility

  • Manage the flawless test and process execution by introducing new AI and Data Center Graphics products and their ramp to volume production in manufacturing partners
  • Lead sustaining yield activities which include driving product performance and margin improvement by working closely with our operations and development teams
  • Manage product yield dedication, engineering activities during the product development stage including design validation, performance, characterization, qualification and release to production
  • Lead multi-functional teams and maintain committed schedules on multiple projects while collaborating with other engineering functions & different levels of management
  • Work with the Manufacturing, Design, Quality, and Failure Analysis teams in the disposition of product excursions and manage cases through a material review board

Requirements

  • 5~10 years' experience in product engineering and manufacturing
  • Good at yield analysis and improvement
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and writing in English
  • Ability to work with global team to meet KPIs, deliver efficient and effective results
  • Detailed understanding of device physics and semiconductor processing for sophisticated and leading technology nodes
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent field

  • Deep insight into quality chain and supplier quality activities: explore manufacturing operations and new innovative ways to look our quality in advance to issues happening for new technology (i.e. proactively ensuring SDV to be better than what we did with VIP)
  • Electrical Hardware Design and Validation: Lead the quality chain activities driving for higher quality execution (i.e. component tracker, in house design and development first time documentation) - Oversee the full development cycle from concept through production from a quality perspective
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of quality engineers. Build a culture of excellence, technical depth, and continuous learning. Oversee program execution, resource planning, and budget management
  • Technology, Innovation and Analytics: Utilize current and future technologies and techniques (e.g. connected vehicle, OnStar, vehicle data crowd sourcing, big data, diagnostics, prognostics, AI …) to early predict quality performance to avoid/minimize quality issues and drive required sustainable change w/ the greatest business impact
