Job Description

Lead the line where precision meets performance! We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join STI Ltd as an SMT Team Leader (late shift), based at our manufacturing site in Hook. You will be responsible for leading the production teams in SMT in order to achieve output and quality targets. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis and will be on late shift. The late shift pattern is below: Monday – Wednesday: 3.45pm – 2.00am Thursday: 3.45pm – 12.30am

Job Responsibility

  • Ensuring required output and delivery targets are achieved according to production schedules
  • Controlling product through the manufacturing process
  • Assisting with gate and contract reviews
  • Leading and supervising a team including: ensuring the team complies with all applicable policies, procedures and paperwork e.g. IPC, checking route cards etc
  • being the main communication point between employees and management
  • regularly communicating tasks, priorities and achievements
  • providing support, training and buddying as required
  • being a role model for performance and conduct
  • providing assistance with reviews
  • dealing with T&A issues
  • ensuring required Security Clearance level
  • Working to meet all required business objectives regarding production
  • Complying with all 5S activities as required

Requirements

  • Experience working within an electronics manufacturing role
  • Experience leading a team
  • IPC certifications are required
  • Ability to work to written instructions and bills of materials
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understand component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs
  • The ability to achieve UK security clearance is required
