Job Responsibility:
Line Management & Optimization: Oversee and optimize daily operations across SMT lines, including stencil printing, SPI, pick-and-place, reflow, AOI, and X-ray to ensure quantity and OTD targets are met
Process Excellence: Monitor SMT process parameters to ensure high yield and minimal defects. Lead the validation of new equipment, materials, and complex processes
Equipment Oversight: Manage the setup, programming, and preventive maintenance of high-end SMT machinery to minimize downtime
Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to enhance line efficiency, machine uptime, and reduce DPMO (Defects Per Million Opportunities)
Quality & Standards: Ensure all processes comply with IPC-A-610 standards. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and support First Article Inspections (FAI) and NPI builds
Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, enforcing strict ESD control and safety procedures
Data-Driven Reporting: Track and report on key KPIs, supporting MES integration and maintaining comprehensive process documentation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in SMT production
At least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
Proven expertise in SMT equipment programming, lead-free soldering, and handling complex components (BGA/QFN/Fine Pitch)
Strong experience in high-mix, low-volume (HMLV) production environments
Proficient in MES/ERP systems and SMT analytics tools
Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement frameworks
