Job Description:

The city of Marlborough DPW is accepting applications for full-time position SMEO/Laborer-Water and Sewer Division. This is a union position offering competitive base wages, comprehensive municipal benefits, and significant opportunities to increase total compensation through overtime, emergency response, on-call assignments, snow and storm operations, and specialty pay incentives.

Job Responsibility:

maintenance and repair of water system distribution and roadways

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • five to seven years’ prior work experience in heavy motor equipment vehicle operation as used in the maintenance and repair of water system distribution and roadways
  • or an equivalent combination
  • A candidate for this position must have a valid Class B MA CDL and Hoisting License 2B
  • Position requires availability during snow and ice events
  • Massachusetts Drinking Water Supply Facility Operator’s License D2 preferred
