Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Petrochemicals with a strong technical background and in-depth industry knowledge. The SME will act as a key advisor, providing expertise on petrochemical processes, technologies, operations, and market trends. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business growth, optimize operations, ensure compliance, and contribute to innovation in petrochemical solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as the primary technical expert on petrochemical processes, production, and applications
  • Provide guidance on refining and petrochemical operations, including process optimization, troubleshooting, and energy efficiency
  • Conduct market and technology research to support strategic initiatives, product development, and competitive positioning
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, R&D, engineering, and business development) to provide insights and recommendations
  • Support client engagements by offering expert advice, training sessions, and technical presentations
  • Review and evaluate safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance aspects in petrochemical operations
  • Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor junior engineers/consultants on petrochemical best practices
  • Participate in tendering, proposal writing, and solution design for petrochemical projects
  • Stay updated on global petrochemical industry trends, technologies, and sustainability practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's / master's degree in chemical engineering / Petrochemical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the petrochemical or refining industry
  • Strong expertise in petrochemical production processes (e.g., ethylene, propylene, aromatics, polymers, etc.)
  • Proven ability to analyze technical challenges and provide effective solutions
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in petrochemicals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client and internal stakeholder interaction
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional projects
