Job Description

At Small Medium Enterprises and Channel (SME&C), we are leading a high-growth, AI-powered global sales team—one that is deeply connected to our partners and driven by customer success. By uniting our Small Medium Business, Corporate, Strategy, and Partner teams, we are unlocking the largest customer opportunity, backed by the industry’s most significant investments. Leveraging the power of AI and our extensive partner ecosystem, we are redefining how businesses of all sizes adopt technology to drive growth and innovation. SME&C is more than a sales organization—it’s a culture of innovation, opportunity, and inclusivity. Here, you’ll be part of a diverse, high-performing, and customer-obsessed team where collaboration, connection, and continuous learning fuel everything we do. In this role we are seeking a senior, high-impact sales leader to serve as Microsoft’s dedicated strategic account lead for EQT, one of Europe’s leading private equity firms. This role will take end-to-end accountability for driving net incremental new business growth across EQT’s portfolio companies, with a primary focus on SMB-scale organisations and AI-led workforce solutions. This is a singular-focus role: owning the EQT relationship as a go-to-market engine, shaping joint value propositions, and converting portfolio insight into disproportionate Microsoft growth. Success will be measured by net growth outcomes, not activity.

Job Responsibility

  • Own new business sales and net growth across EQT portfolio companies, with clear accountability for incremental revenue generation
  • Drive disproportionate growth from EQT-backed SMBs by accelerating cloud, security, and AI adoption
  • Be accountable for net new ARR, seat growth, and workload expansion across the portfolio
  • Act as Microsoft’s single point of leadership for the EQT relationship, building trusted executive-level partnerships
  • Co-create repeatable GTM motions with EQT that can be deployed across portfolio companies
  • Position Microsoft as a strategic value-creation partner, not just a technology vendor
  • Lead with Microsoft’s AI workforce solutions as the primary growth lever
  • Translate AI, productivity, and security capabilities into clear business outcomes for EQT portfolio CEOs and CIOs
  • Pay and performance will be primarily aligned to AI-driven growth motions
  • Operate across segments, with approximately 80% focus on SMB-scale businesses
  • Drive opportunities across the full Microsoft portfolio including Modern Work, Security, Azure, Business Applications, and AI
  • Orchestrate internal Microsoft teams and partners to deliver seamless execution
  • Win share in highly competitive environments by positioning Microsoft effectively against key competitors
  • Build differentiated value propositions that resonate with PE-backed growth agendas
  • Use insight, speed, and execution excellence to out-compete in fast-moving portfolio environments

Requirements

  • Proven experience driving net new business growth in complex, multi-company environments
  • Strong understanding of SMB growth dynamics and PE-backed business models
  • Demonstrated success selling cloud, security, productivity, or AI-led solutions
  • Ability to operate autonomously with clear accountability for outcomes
  • Executive-level communication and relationship-building skills

Nice to have

  • Experience working with private equity firms or portfolio companies
  • Background in AI-led or digital transformation sales
  • Experience operating across multiple workloads and solution areas
  • Familiarity with Nordic or European SMB markets
