Uber Eats is looking for a Business Leader and Account Manager to drive business growth and innovation by acting as a trusted advisor to SMB restaurants in Japan. This key role within the SMB business involves managing the end-to-end experience of a crucial segment of restaurant partners. A successful candidate should possess strong relationship-building skills, an ability to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities and a mix of customer focused thinking, critical thinking, strategy development, sales expertise, operational excellence, and leadership. The role requires a highly adaptable individual capable of balancing long-term strategic initiatives with short-term tactical actions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with restaurant partners
  • Understand restaurant partners' wants and needs and provide appropriate supports
  • Identify restaurant partners’ issues quickly and provide the necessary resources and support to resolve them with the data driven mindset
  • Work with manager and the leadership team to build the future of the SMB function in Japan
  • Collaborate with other internal departments (operations, marketing, customer support, etc.) to resolve issues
  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales quotas

Requirements:

  • Native/Fluent Japanese
  • Can read and write English with no hesitation
  • Ideally at least 3 years of Sales or Account Management experience in a high-growth company, with strong solution selling skills
  • Ability to make decisions based on data analysis and performance monitoring
  • Energetic, has willingness to make the local society better

Nice to have:

  • Extended network and prior experience in Japan’s restaurant industry
  • Understanding of SaaS products, Internet Advertisement and marketplace ecosystem
  • Project management experience with XFN stakeholders
