Job Responsibility

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain and improve cost accounting systems, including standard costing and variance analysis
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, margins, and operational performance
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial controls
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other partners
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including ERP and reporting enhancements
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff (if applicable)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
  • 12+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in a small-company environment
  • Willingness to be hands on
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
