Job Description:

This role leads a centralized and in-market team focused on deepening relationships with Business Banking customers (annual sales of $500K–$25MM) through exceptional sales, service and risk management. Responsibilities include team leadership, hiring, coaching, performance management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and develop a team to meet business objectives
  • Enhance and grow business by increasing growth opportunities, market share and wallet share of customer's total financial service needs
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Lead team to effectively assess customer needs and provide solutions to meet business objectives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers to ensure provision of full range of business product solutions
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Banking Relationship Management
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development and performance
  • Accomplish management responsibilities including sourcing and hiring, coaching and feedback, performance management

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of Small Business Banking Relationship Management leadership experience
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of business banking: relationship management, acquisition, credit, deposits, treasury management, merchant service, foreign exchange and payroll services
  • Commercial credit or business credit underwriting experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Small Business Lending Operations products and services
  • Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originator position
  • Must comply with financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards

Nice to have:

  • Proven leadership experience in Business Relationship Management and banking with strong track record of building and leading high performing teams
  • Experience with developing and executing business vision, strategies, and goals
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Demonstrated executive presence with ability to influence, engage, and communicate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders
