The primary purpose of the Slot Manager in conjunction with and under the direction of the General Manager, is to lead the Bear Hills Casino & Travel Resort Slots Department and its team members in the effort to increase value, performance, and profitability by providing expertise, resources and creativity. The Slot Manager will provide direction and consultation to all team members within the slots department. Is responsible for the overall daily operations, AML/FINTRAC compliance, cost control strategies.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor, direct, supervise and observe slot action in the slot department for adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
Maintains effective communication upwards, downwards, laterally
Performs training, evaluations, monitoring and scheduling of all slot personnel
Maintains up to date knowledge of gaming laws/regulations
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
Ensure guests are being provided with super customer service
Ensure the slot floor meets desired presentation for our guests
Performs all duties of a slot attendant, cashier and supervisor
Maintain and upkeep of all slot department paperwork
Handle and take care of customer complaints/discrepancies
Execute and administer AML/FINTRAC protocols
Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to the slot operation, providing ongoing input for employee performance objectives and evaluations
Scheduling and supervising employees, verifying timesheets, assigning shift work assignments
Monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities
Witness and verify slot cage transactions when required
Monitor inventory and supply levels, signing off on basic purchase requisitions, obtaining approval on basic purchase orders.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Ensure that the vision, mission, values and strategic direction of the Louis Bull Tribe and Casino Management Team are conveyed through effective leadership and support of management directives and decisions.
Requirements:
High School Diploma an asset
Must be able to register with AGLC
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, including work, outlook, power point and excel as asset
Will be required to undergo a Due Diligence Investigation by completing and submitting to the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) an AGLC Personal Applicant Disclosure as well as meet with an AGLC representative for a personal interview.

Able to adapt to procedural changes when deemed necessary by house or AGLC guidelines
