Be part of a fast-paced, high energy, team supporting Strategic Systems Programs Re-Entry Branch on the SLCM-N program as the Project Manager. For this position, an in-depth understanding of DoD and NNSA acquisition and engineering practices is required to be successful. The Project Manager should be intimately familiar with nuclear weapon programs and have excellent business acumen. This position will require the candidate to represent the Re-Entry Branch at various meetings and have a comprehensive understanding of how to lead and manage a project from start to finish. The Project Manager will also serve as a deputy to the SP28 Section Head for SLCM-N assisting them in their programmatic responsibilities and maintaining a program dashboard to be able to provide the customer a status of the overall program as required.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage a team of program analysts supporting the Project Officer’s Group (POG) and oversee the meeting coordination efforts across SLCM-N POG equities
Solve complex technical and programmatic problems with innovative solutions
Responsible for overseeing various projects through their lifecycle, from initiation to closure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success
Act as the deputy to a government lead, assisting them in all matters related to your assigned equities with the SP28 branch
Ensure compliance with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods
Formulate Plan of Action and Milestones for projects and ability to maintain a program schedule that identifies milestone and major events
Effectively manage resources, mitigate risks, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure all parties are marching to the right
Establish and coordinate development standards, practices, and procedures
Lead working groups as the chair or action officer, compiling all necessary meeting materials and capable of writing technical meeting minutes
Act as a customer liaison representing the Re-Entry Branch at various meetings
Develop and review documentation and supporting material for technical accuracy
Maintain an accurate work breakdown structure that shows the proper funding lines for both SSP and NNSA equities
Be data and process driven with the ability to identify areas of concern and able to provide recommendations for overall improvement
Drive work products to closure

Requirements:
BS 10-12, MS 8-10, or PhD 5-7. Education can be substituted for military service and subject matter expert knowledge on nuclear programs
Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance
The ability to work well within a team and the ability to collaborate on projects with multiple stakeholders
Prior management experience leading cross functional teams
Exceptional ability to translate complex technical data into actionable executive briefings
Ability to author technical documentation, program plans, and integrated master schedules
Professional oral and written communication skills
A passion for learning, helping others, sharing team knowledge, and contributing value to the mission in any way possible
Nice to have:
SSP or NNSA Experience
Proven track record managing programs within the DoD 5000.02 framework and the Phase 6.X joint lifecycle
