Job Description:

Do you have experience in either Bricklaying or Plastering? Want to pass on your practical skills to adults to help them achieve their goals? Join us as Skills Practitioner (Workshop Technician). As a Skills Practitioner at our dedicated Bricklaying and Plastering training centre for adults in Hersden, you’ll play an important part in supporting both staff and students, helping to deliver high-quality, hands-on learning experiences, on an ad hoc basis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor and promote excellent Health & Safety practices within workshop sessions
  • Order, organise, and issue stock and supplies to keep sessions running smoothly
  • Assist in workshop preparation
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students
  • Support both staff and students, helping to deliver high-quality, hands-on learning experiences
  • Liaise with colleagues and external partners
  • Support learners to reach their goals
  • Ensure workshops are safe, well-organised, and fully equipped

Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualification in Bricklaying or Plastering
  • Industry experience in the Construction sector
  • Confident to support and guide learners through practical tasks
  • Organised, hands-on, and positive about helping others
