We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Skilled Technician - Plant Room to join our team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a crucial member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment and systems across our facilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Install, commission, and maintain a wide range of equipment and systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity
  • Diagnose technical issues and apply corrective measures promptly to minimise downtime
  • Execute repairs, including replacement of components and essential parts, to maintain reliable operation of all systems
  • Respond efficiently to urgent service requests, particularly during peak operational hours
  • Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and hygiene regulations whilst working in various areas of the facility
  • Safely handle tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials, adhering to proper usage and storage protocols
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, utilising appropriate tools and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Report significant repair needs or potential equipment replacements to the supervisor for planning and approval
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance work, including repairs and part replacements
  • Collaborate with other departments to support the effective operation of the facility and contribute to broader organisational goals

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • vocational or technical certification in a relevant field is preferred
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial or industrial equipment
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems relevant to the facility's operations
  • Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in equipment efficiently and safely
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment relevant to the job role
  • Thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance related to equipment maintenance and repair
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and work in various environmental conditions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency calls when necessary
  • Familiarity with local regulations and standards in Phu Quoc, Vietnam is advantageous
  • Valid driver's licence may be required for on-site visits

  • Undertake mechanical and electrical building maintenance to include but not exhaustively working on air handling Units (AHUs), emergency/power generators, emergency lighting checks, lighting and security systems, HVAC, pumps, legionella temperature check, tanks flushes, plumbing remedial works
