Job Description

As our Skilled Nursing Supervisor (RN), you will help the healthcare team at Bruceville Terrace foster a supportive, collaborative environment so they can meet the needs of residents, families, and physicians while delivering high-quality nursing services in a cost-effective manner.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide direction and leadership
  • Oversee day-to-day operations
  • Manage human resources for direct reports (LVNs, CNAs, and Unit Assistants)
  • Develop innovative methods for performance improvement
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations
  • Make decisions regarding patient placement and care requirements
  • Direct nursing practice and support interdisciplinary team process
  • Create and maintain a professional environment promoting recruitment and retention
  • Plan, direct and supervise nursing and healthcare services
  • Define job expectations and lines of authority
  • Communicate standards of practice and serve as clinical resource
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, therapy and other ancillary services
  • Participate effectively in CQI projects

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of recent Skilled Nursing experience, with one (1) of the two (2) years in a progressive leadership role
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
