Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hard-working Skilled Labourer / Groundworks Assistant to join a busy, fast-paced commercial project in Cambridge. This isn't your standard tidying role-we need someone who is happy to get stuck in with the ground crew. You will be supporting a major, well-established infrastructure and services contractor on-site.

Job Responsibility

  • Assisting with basic groundworks including shallow digging, trenching, and backfilling
  • Moving materials, aggregates, and muck around the site safely
  • Supporting skilled groundworkers, pipe-layers, and machine operators
  • Maintaining site safety, clearing walkways, and general site duties as required

Requirements

  • Valid CSCS Card (Essential)
  • Full PPE (Hard hat, hi-vis, steel toe boots, gloves, and glasses)
  • Proven experience working as a Skilled Labourer or Groundwork Labourer
  • Must be physically fit, reliable, and a good team player
  • Ability to provide a minimum of one recent, checkable work reference
