Completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship as: Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Motor Mechanic, Sheet Metal worker, Carpentry, Coach Builder, Coppersmith, Aircraft Technician, Mechanical & Maintenance Fitter, Panel Beater, Sheet Metal, Pattern Maker, Toolfitter, Car Body Operator, Boiler Maker, Machinist, Pipe Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Plumber, Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Welder, Fabricator or in a similar skilled trade
Or four years’ experience in a skilled role, plus a relevant qualification, ie City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 or NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Happy to work a range of shifts plus overtime, as required
Subject to BPSS and Export Control checks (including a criminal record check) Access NI Check in Northern Ireland

Minimum 3 years’ relevant trade experience assembling aircraft components using drawings and processes

Job Responsibility

Assemble and trim composite and metallic aircraft components
Drilling/Reaming/Countersinking of composite and metallic components
Set aircraft components in calibrated build jigs
Deburring and under head radius of aircraft components and assemblies
Fettling using approved and calibrated setting tools
Use of nut runners and pre-set torque guns for bolting
Participate fully in local continuous improvement activities
Work in line with Health & Safety site requirements
