As the Site Training Lead at the Central Logistics Centre (CLC), you will play a key role in ensuring that our team members are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in a fast-paced logistics and transport environment and to to be part of Alliance Healthcare UK's new, next-generation Central Logistics Centre (CLC). This role is pivotal in aligning training initiatives with our organisational goals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and championing our commitment to inclusion and excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Determine training needs in partnership with the Regional Training Lead Develop and execute a comprehensive training plan for all operational areas, working closely with key stakeholders tailored to the needs of the Central Logistics Centre
Accountability to develop site-specific training materials ensuring alignment with operational goals, including job specific functional training, Work Instructions (WISs), automated warehouse processes and transport-related activities, compliance with H&S and acts as a subject matter expert
Ensure training materials are clear, engaging, and effective in building knowledge and skills
Ensure alignment with organisational and CLC goals and compliance with regulatory requirements, including Good Distribution Practices (GDP)
Employ various learning methods, flexible and adaptable in approach to training, incorporating new technologies and evolving operational requirements
Stay updated on new functionalities and processes to refine training materials and manuals to meet specific training needs
Participate in the selection process for ‘Key Users’ to ensure the most suitable individuals are chosen for these important roles, based on their skills, potential, and alignment with organisational goals
After onboarding, train ‘Key Users’, ensuring they are aligned with organisational objectives and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge
Continuously upskill ‘Key Users’ using relevant training materials to enhance their capabilities and operational efficiency
Foster an inclusive environment where all team members feel valued and supported in their development
Promote Cencora Active Learning by encouraging a growth mindset, where team members learn, apply knowledge, and contribute to the organisation’s success
Indirectly manage ‘Key Users’ for training-related activities, ensuring their performance aligns with organisational goals

Participate in the testing and piloting of new training programs and provide valuable feedback to ensure successful future training deployment initiatives
Maintain and manage the onsite training matrix, including the skills matrix, training related key performance indicators (KPIs), and GDP tracker
Assess the effectiveness of training programs through observations, evaluations, and feedback mechanisms
Use data insights to continuously refine training processes and enhance outcomes
Maintain and validate accurate training records, including attendance, evaluations and up-to-date documentation related to training activities and compliance to GDP standards
Implement standards and robust processes for the department in accordance with WISs, GDP compliance, KPIs, including Health and Safety regulations
Champion the health and safety culture which ensures safe processes, procedures and behaviours as well as continuous improvement through best practice activities
Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to stay legal and compliant
Requirements:
Strong understanding of operational processes within automated warehouses and transport logistics
Strong organisational and planning skills to manage training schedules and materials effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire team members
Sound knowledge of commonly used training techniques such as role-playing, on-the-job training, coaching, group discussions, etc.
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work and meet deadlines
A proactive and adaptable mindset to respond to changing technologies and operational requirements
A passion for learning and development, with the ability to foster a growth mindset in others
Proficiency in using analytical tools and software
Experience in a leadership role within a training or operational environment
Sound knowledge of technical training techniques with the ability to design, develop, and deliver effective and engaging training programs
Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including employees, managers, and other departments
Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) requirements, including transport-related components
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships through coaching to support team development
Proficiency in using training tools and systems to track progress and generate reports
Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, to meet operational needs
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 applications
