Select Recruitment is looking for a reliable and motivated Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) to support a busy civil construction crew across Dunedin. This hands on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, leading traffic management operations, and ensuring the safety of crews and the public on local roads and state highways.

Job Responsibility

Leading and supporting traffic management operations across urban and rural worksites
Making real time decisions to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow
Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic management equipment
Providing clear direction and leadership to crew members
Ensuring all site activities meet safety standards and project requirements

Requirements

Level 1 or CAT A, B, or C STMS certification (required)
Full NZ Class 1 Licence
Proven experience in traffic management
Strong leadership skills and a safety-first mindset
Ability to stay calm, organised, and proactive in a fast-paced environment
Current right to work in New Zealand
Must pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screening test
Ministry of Justice criminal background checks are part of our standard process
