Requirements

NRSWA Supervisor Units (Essential – Must be valid)
EUSR Water Hygiene Card (Essential – Must be valid)
Experience supervising street works, utility or metering teams
Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practices in utility environments

Job Responsibility

Supervise daily smart metering installation activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance
Enforce Health & Safety standards, including NRSWA, and maintain strict site compliance
Monitor work quality through audits/inspections and resolve non-conformances
Coordinate with managers, planners, and engineers on site setups, traffic management, and reinstatement
Act as site contact for customers, handling queries and access issues
Deliver daily briefings, toolbox talks, and support field teams
Keep accurate site records, safety checks, and progress reports, including incidents or near misses

Requirements

NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, or industry recognized equivalent
In-date First aider ticket (FAW)
ISO14001 and ISO45001 auditor (preferred)
Minimum 2 years as HSE professional in a construction (CDM), electrical, or related technical environment
Experience in Solar / renewables sector (preferred)
Driving License
Self-motivation and team player skills

Job Responsibility

Extracting and implementing HSE requirements from Pre-Construction Information, ensuring compliance
Reviewing project drawings and Construction Phase Plan to address foreseeable health and safety issues
Preparing and maintaining up-to-date H&S files, including METKA–EGN Risk and Environmental Assessments
Establishing emergency plans, traffic management, and ensure fire regulation compliance
Leading HSE initiatives, manage subcontractor H&S, coordinate emergency procedures
Conducting accident investigations and produce detailed reports with findings and recommendations
Monitoring and managing fuel, waste, and water levels on site, taking necessary actions as required

Effectively use traffic management software and tools to monitor and improve traffic and transport operations
Assist in supporting the transportation and traffic management teams to ensure a cohesive operation
