Job Description:

We are looking for a Site Supervisor to lead daily on-site activities and help keep construction work moving efficiently in Long Island, NY near Central Islip. This position works closely with project leadership to maintain job quality, support safe working conditions, and coordinate crews, equipment, and materials throughout each phase of the project. The ideal candidate is organized, observant, and confident managing field operations while communicating clearly with team members, subcontractors, and clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Direct daily site operations in alignment with project goals and guidance from the Project Manager
  • Track workforce performance and job progress to help ensure deadlines and workmanship expectations are met
  • Inspect active work areas regularly to identify quality concerns, safety risks, or items requiring corrective action
  • Provide timely updates to project leadership regarding milestones, site conditions, and issues that may affect delivery
  • Uphold company safety practices on site and reinforce compliance with established procedures throughout the workday
  • Organize the flow of materials, coordinate equipment availability, and manage subcontractor scheduling to support uninterrupted operations
  • Maintain accurate daily records, including site observations, photographic updates, progress notes, and incident documentation
  • Interact professionally with property owners or clients while representing the company on active job sites
  • Verify that completed work aligns with project documents, approved plans, and applicable local building requirements
  • Escalate changes in scope, schedule impacts, or unexpected field conditions to project leadership as soon as they are identified

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of construction experience required ideally in Landscape or Outdoor design
  • Experience supervising field operations within construction, landscape, or related project-based environments
  • Working knowledge of construction practices, job site coordination, and reading project plans or specifications
  • Ability to monitor schedule adherence, workmanship, and safety performance across multiple on-site activities
  • Familiarity with construction management processes, including documentation, inspections, and progress reporting
  • Strong communication skills for working with crews, subcontractors, project managers, and clients
  • Ability to identify issues proactively and support practical solutions in a fast-paced field setting
  • Understanding of local codes, site safety expectations, and quality standards relevant to construction projects
